Risk Management Incentive Program Submission Deadline Draws Near
School systems electing to participate in the Risk Management Incentive Program must turn in their completed responses by February 15. Now in its fourth year, the Risk Management Incentive program provides a method for members to self assess their own internal risk management program and set goals for improvement. Identifying Best Practices and sharing successful approaches with all members are two benefits all members receive from the Risk Management Incentive Program. Alternately, school systems may focus on a specific goal and apply for a Risk Management Grant in lieu of participation in the Incentive Program. Grant application forms must be completed and submitted to one of the two Risk Management Officers before April 4, 2011. Contact John Magoon,
jmagoon@mabe.org, for more information on the Risk Management Incentive and Grant Programs.

Maintenance Managers Meeting
Maintenance Managers from Maryland public school systems gathered in the MABE conference room on January 20 to discuss and share ideas and approaches to a number of common issues and topics. Asset rating and project selection, energy conservation, contracts, and how departments monitor and report upon its performance were on the agenda.

CNA Holds Class on Electrical Safety and Infra-Red Testing
